Firefly Aerospace sees boost following new investment

CEDAR PARK, TX (KXAN) -- Austin-area aerospace company Firefly Aerospace announced Tuesday it secured millions of dollars in its latest round of funding.
Firefly just concluded its Series D funding round, which is when a startup raises funds ahead of a valuation. With the money secured in the latest round of funding, the rocket company is now worth more than $2 billion, according to a release the company posted online Tuesday.
