Firefighter dies while fighting massive blaze at San Antonio strip mall

SAN ANTONIO (KXAN) — One firefighter died in a massive strip mall fire on the northwest side of San Antonio Thursday night, near Ingram Park Mall.
San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood says Scott Deem died while trying to put out the flames. He was a six-year veteran of the San Antonio Fire Department. Two other firefighters were transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center for treatment and expected to be okay.
