Fire destroys duplex in southwest Austin
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin firefighters are continuing to work to put out a duplex fire in southwest Austin Monday morning.
The Austin Fire Department says the fire broke out around 4:45 a.m. in the 6000 block of Westcreek Drive. When firefighters arrived at the home, the 2-story duplex was engulfed in flames.
Officials say a neighbor pounded on the homeowner’s door to wake everyone up. Four adults and three children were all able to get out safely. Initial information indicates the fire
