Facebook privacy settlement: Who is eligible for a payment?

(NEXSTAR) – Facebook has started notifying users who may be eligible for a piece of the massive $725 million sum the company recently agreed to pay to settle a privacy lawsuit. But you don't need to wait for a notification to check if you qualify for a payment.
The criteria is pretty simple: "If you were a Facebook user in the United States between May 24, 2007, and December 22, 2022, inclusive, you may be eligible for a cash payment," the settlement details state.
