Driver leaves scene after hitting pedicab near downtown Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person was taken to the hospital after a vehicle hit a pedicab in south Austin Wednesday night.
The crash happened on South Congress Avenue near Barton Springs Road around 10:40 p.m. The owner of Easy Rider Pedicab says the female passenger was taken the hospital and remains in the hospital with facial injuries.
Austin police said the driver did not stay after the crash. The pedicab driver told police the vehicle that hit them was a dark blue BMW 5 series.
