Driver killed in overnight crash

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin-Travis County EMS says one man in his 20s is dead following a car crash in the 2000 block of Burton Drive Thursday morning.
According to Austin Police, the driver was speeding when he crashed into a barrier just after 1:30 a.m. No one else was in the car. Burton Drive is shut down in both directions as police investigate the scene. Police could not say when the road will reopen.
