Driver cited for running red light, slamming into motorcycle cop

AUSTIN (KXAN) — An Austin motorcycle officer was hit by a car on 8th Street and San Jacinto Boulevard, Tuesday morning.
The officer was hit around 9:51 a.m. in downtown Austin. Police say the officer has minor injuries, but is okay and walking around.
