Driver cited for getting 18-wheeler stuck on I-35 bridge

AUSTIN (KXAN) — An 18-wheeler stuck under the Interstate 35 overpass closed Cesar Chavez Street for several hours Tuesday.
The truck was driving eastbound when it became stuck at around 2:49 p.m. Austin police say the 18-wheeler was lodged underneath the overpass. It was able to drive away at around 4:30 p.m. All lanes of Cesar Chavez were reopened around 5:40 p.m.
The driver of the big rig was cited for not having an over-height permit.
