Drier week ahead with only isolated rain and thunderstorms

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Following an extended stretch of wetter than normal late summer weather, we are predicting a drier and slightly more comfortable week ahead.Most all of our area has received 1-3" of beneficial rainfall in the last two weeks, and many others have seen 2-5". Some of the heaviest rain totals, including parts of Williamson County and the Hill Country, have totaled 8-10". While this has helped soil moisture recover and brought lake levels up a handful of inches, the drought remains a
