DPS trooper killed on Thanksgiving Day to be laid to rest Friday

TEAGUE, Texas (KXAN) — Services for a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper who was shot and killed on Thanksgiving Day are scheduled for Thursday and Friday.
The visitation for Trooper Damon Allen, 41, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. at the Mexia High School football stadium, located at 1100 North Bailey St. in Mexia. Allen will be buried at the Salem Cemete
