Dallas senator: ‘Red light cameras must go’

AUSTIN (KXAN) – One day after a KXAN investigation exposed a lack of Texas cities’ compliance with the state’s red light camera law, a Dallas-area state senator wants those cameras banned.
Senator Don Huffines, a Republican, is demanding refunds for drivers charged by cities that are not in compliance with the red light camera law. “It’s outrageous that so many cities are ignoring Texas law,” Huffines wrote in a statement to KXAN.
“Any cities that are no
