Community, city leaders will remember fallen officer at public memorial

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The community will have a chance to honor the fallen police Officer Amir Abdul-Khaliq on Thursday at the public memorial service.
He passed away on Sunday, four days after he was hit by a car while escorting a funeral procession. The service will start at 11 a.m. at the Delco Center on Pecan Brook Drive in Northeast Austin.
