Colorado Street construction shifts traffic starting Oct. 1

AUSTIN, Texas (KXAN)– The Colorado Street Reconstruction project will move work to the west side of Colorado Street starting October 1.
The City’s contractor is moving the work to the west side from the alley north of Seventh Street up to Eight Street. Due to the project’s movement, southbound travel lanes from Tenth to Eighth Street will be reduced to one lane. The westbound lanes on Eighth Street from Congress Avenue to Lavaca Street will not be affected.
