Close to record temperatures return this weekend

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Central Texas was spared from any severe weather on Thursday as most of the activity started west of I-35 but didn't build into any stronger than heavy showers. Over the last few days of 2024, temperatures will run through a roller coaster with possible record tying or breaking days.TonightTonight will remain calm, mostly clear, and cool with temperatures heading back down into the upper 40s.
