City hall packed for Austin PD contract negotiations

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department may be just hours away from finding out if they will have a new contract to work under. A big crowd gathered at Austin City Hall, some calling on council members to scrap the entire contract altogether.
More than 150 people signed up to speak during public testimony on the contract. At one point it was standing room only and at capacity.
