Best chances of rain and storms since June, though some could still miss out

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A broken line of showers and thunderstorms moved through the area this evening bringing some areas their first measurable rainfall in a month and a half. While we recorded 1.28" of rain on the Colorado River near Lampasas and 0.55" of rain near Giddings, both Camp Mabry and Austin-Bergstrom missed out.
