Bastrop County wildfire reaches 700 acres, forward progress stopped

BASTROP COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Bastrop County authorities are expecting more resources to arrive Friday, including aircraft, to help put out a wildfire still burning north of Buescher State Park.
The Texas A&M Forest Service said the Pine Pond Fire is 700 acres and 10% contained as of Friday afternoon. It started Thursday afternoon in the 580 block of Old Antioch Road. No injuries or structure losses have been reported. The cause has yet to be determined, crews said.
