Barrier in deadly US 183 suspected DWI collision was damaged that morning

AUSTIN (KXAN) — An allegedly drunk driver lost control of his Jeep and crossed the median on US Highway 183 in an area where the cable barrier had been damaged that morning. Three members of a family of four visiting Austin from California died as a result of that collision.
