Autopsy determines 4th Hays CISD student death linked to fentanyl

HAYS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) -- A fourth Hays County ISD student death has been linked to fentanyl overdose. All four deaths happened within about a month of each other.
The school board sent a letter to parents Wednesday night informing them that an autopsy determined the July death of a 15-year-old was due to a fentanyl overdose. Three other students died over the summer from suspected fentanyl overdoses.
Hays CISD said they know of at least two students who were administered Narcan by paramedics
