Austin's 3 homicides in 3 days not connected, police say

Police are actively investigating three homicides that happened this week, one on Monday, one on Tuesday and one on Wednesday. They happened in different parts of southeast Austin."While three homicides in three days may feel alarming, it is not unusual for violent crime to occur in temporary spikes," the Austin Police Department said in a statement. "Although any loss of life is tragic, these incidents do not necessarily indicate a larger trend or increased danger to the community as a whole."
