Austin police seeking help in locating missing 81-year-old man

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department's Missing Persons Unit asked Thursday night for the community's help in locating 81-year-old Jaime Tamariz.APD said he was last seen on Thursday, around 7:00 p.m. in the 900 block of East 2nd Street. That's near the intersection of East Cesar Chavez Street and North Interstate 35 Frontage Road.
Authorities said Tamariz has dementia and only speaks Spanish. Police said they were concerned about his safety and immediate welfare.
