Austin officer suspended 3 days for hitting pedestrian
AUSTIN (KXAN) – An Austin Police Department memo released Tuesday shows that an officer, who hit a pedestrian in June, received a three day suspension as punishment.
According to the memo, on June 30th Officer Charles Tucker was driving his patrol vehicle north on Roland Johnson Drive and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of East St. Johns. When he attempted to make a right turn on to East St. Johns, he hit a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
