Austin Energy: Power coming back on in North Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Crews with Austin Energy are restoring power in North Austin after a massive power outage just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.
As of 3:30 a.m., 2,600 customers were without power in an area west of Lamar Boulevard from Payton Gin Road north up to Braker Lane. 
At 2:10 a.m., the utility says 7,600 customers had no power.  Austin Energy had earlier estimated 22,305 customers were without power but revised the number once crews were able to assess the scene.
