Austin-area schools get grants for climate action projects

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Sustainability lessons are coming to classrooms around Austin as 50 schools will receive up to $3,000 to fund climate action projects.The funds come from the Bright Green Future Grants Program, from a pool of $146,000. The city of Austin's Office of Sustainability received 135 project applications from 60 different schools. At least one school in each Austin City Council District was selected, including schools in the Austin, Leander and Del Valle school districts, as well
