Austin Animal Center extends pilot program, sees some success with new adoption times

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Animal Center is extending its "Meet My Match" program another two months to gather more data on its adoption success.
In June, the center started closing its doors to the public on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. During that time, only people with an adoption appointment were allowed to walk into the center, allowing staff to provide a more personalized adoption experience and giving them more time to research lost pets and find their home. The pro
