ATCEMS: Pedestrian killed by vehicle on MoPac, traffic diverted

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- One pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Wednesday evening in the 8800 block of the South MoPac Expressway service road northbound, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.ATCEMS said the incident occurred just after 7 p.m.The Austin Police Department said in a social media post that northbound MoPac was closed down. Traffic is being diverted to West Slaughter Lane.Authorities said to expect delays and to plan your route accordingly.
