All-day SWAT standoff in east Travis County ends peacefully

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — An all-day SWAT standoff in eastern Travis County that began Friday ended Saturday morning.
The sheriff’s office says a man in his 40’s was barricaded inside his home on Hibbs Lane — a few miles south of U.S. 290 between Manor and Elgin — since around 8:24 a.m. No evacuations were ordered and deputies believe he was alone inside the house. SWAT officers have been in contact with the man.
