All-day SWAT standoff in east Travis County continues

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — An all-day SWAT standoff in eastern Travis County is going into the night, Friday.
The sheriff’s office says a man in his 40s has been barricaded inside his home on Hibbs Lane — a few miles south of U.S. 290 between Manor and Elgin — since around 8:24 a.m. No evacuations have been ordered and deputies believe he is alone inside the house. SWAT officers have been in contact with the man.
