AISD plans hiring, spending freeze as budget deficit hits $110M

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Independent School District is implementing some new strategies to try to cut spending as its projected deficit for the 2024-25 Fiscal Year has hit $110 million, according to information shared during a Board Information Session last week.
