AISD high school experiencing 'heating issues' due to extreme weather

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- An Austin Independent School District high school is experiencing a "heating issue" due to "extreme weather conditions," the district confirmed in a statement to KXAN Friday.KXAN received emails from people in the community who said temperatures inside some of the classrooms at Bowie High School were uncomfortably cold, as an arctic blast brought below-freezing temperatures to the city this week. One viewer said there were reports of classrooms that had temperatures in the 40s.
