AG Paxton issues opinion clarifying guns in Texas churches

AUSTIN (KXAN) — In an effort to clarify a new law that went into effect Sept. 1 regarding security teams in Texas churches, Attorney General Ken Paxton issued a legal opinion stating licensed handgun owners can legally carry loaded weapons into a church as long as the church does not have signs posted banning weapons.
