AFD knocked out two fires back-to-back Sunday

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Fire Department has identified an extension cord failure as the cause of a garage fire Sunday morning.
AFD tweeted that they were responding to a house fire around 1 p.m. on Whitestone Drive in south Austin. They were able to contain the fire to the garage, and keep it from spreading.
Officials said no one was injured in the fire, but two adults were displaced and are staying with friends.
