AFD: 3-alarm fire 'knocked down,' crews to continue monitoring

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A 3-alarm fire at a condo complex in south Austin has been "knocked down," and the Austin Fire Department said it is continuing to look for "additional hazards."AFD said on social media it responded to a "roof fire" shortly before 8 p.m. located in the 1500 block of Barton Springs Road. Around 8:30 p.m., AFD said one person was rescued from the fire. Then, around 8:50 p.m., AFD said there were two patients "as a result of this fire," and both of them were being evaluated by EMS.
