A&M student hit, killed by garbage truck

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KXAN) — A Texas A&M University student has died after she was hit by a sanitation truck on Thursday, Sept. 8 around 11 a.m.
Alannah Rose Ritch, 21, was riding her bicycle on the 300 block of Ayrshire Street when she was run over by the truck. First-responders say the student died at the scene from her injuries.
The student’s family has been notified. She was from San Marcos, Texas.
