AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Today is the 54th Anniversary of Earth Day. The first Earth Day was on April 22, 1970. It was a day where an estimated 20,000,000 people participated across the world. It happened because of an oil spill in 1969 off the coast of Santa Barbara. It's "founder"?
