911 down for AT&T cell phone users possibly nationwide, officials say

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The 911 system in Austin is unable to receive calls from AT&T cell phone users. The outage may be affecting AT&T cell phone users nationwide.
Anyone trying to call 911 with an AT&T cell phone in Austin should call 311 for emergencies until further notice. Austin police say they do not know how long the outage will last.
