43 people displaced by northwest Austin apartment fire

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Flames were seen going through the roof of a 3-story apartment building in northwest Austin when firefighters responded Thursday evening.
Crews were called to 12403 Mellow Meadow Dr., the Westwood Apartments, located near Lake Creek Parkway and US 183. The fire department raised their response level to two-alarm.
AFD says 16 units were affected by the fire and 43 people were displaced. No one was injured, and firefighters say they are not aware of any pet injuries
