359-acre fire in Blanco County now 100% contained
BLANCO COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) Crews were fighting a large wildfire started by a BBQ pit several miles north of Johnson City for much of Tuesday. While no structures were threatened by the fire, seven residents voluntarily evacuated and have returned to their homes.
No one was injured in the fire, but a Johnson City fire truck was destroyed by the flames. A single structure of an outbuilding was slightly damaged, but not lost.
