3 more protesters hurt by less-lethal rounds in May 2020 sue City of Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Three more protesters who were injured by less-lethal rounds during the May 2020 protests are suing the City of Austin, claiming excessive force by Austin Police Department officers.The lawsuits filed Monday are from Alyssa Sanders, Taylor Ellis and Cesar Fuentez. They are being represented by attorney Jeff Edwards. Edwards explained, in part, media coverage on protest lawsuits "has led people to say, 'you know what, it's not fair that I was hurt.'"
