2,000th triple-digit temperature hit since records began

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- 1898 was the first day weather records began at Austin/Camp Mabry and today in 2024 100° was hit for the 2,000th time. The temperature was officially announced by the National Weather Service Sunday evening marking the occasion.
