Vernon Hills CSO was at the right place at right time to save choking victim

Vernon Hills Community Service Officer Gerald Niskansen was in the right place at the right time when he saved a choking victim in December while working his second job as a security officer at Hawthorn Mall. He recently was honored by Vernon Hills police with a Lifesaving Award.
