Thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds impact north Georgia counties

Several thunderstorm warnings were issued across the north tier of Georgia this evening; a couple of tornado warnings were issued as well.The National Weather Service says residents should stay weather aware this evening.NWS says some potential hazards to look out for:Flying debris, which can be dangerous for anyone without shelterPotential damage to mobile homes, roofs, windows, vehicles, and treesStay safe and check on neighbors who may require extra assistance.
