Metro Atlanta population grew by 75,000 last year, Census Bureau says

Metro Atlanta was the fourth fastest-growing metro area in the nation last year, adding more than 75,000 residents, the Census Bureau reported Thursday.Atlanta’s population grew from 5,826,750 to 5,949,951 from July 2017 to July 2018, a difference of 75,702.
