Georgia lawmaker forms task force after license plate database misuse cases

Former Habersham County Deputy Jonathan Thomas is accused of improperly using a license plate database to track someone with whom he had a personal relationship. He is the county’s second deputy arrested in less than 30 days, prompting new local safeguards and a state task force.
