With shelters overflowing, Anchorage homeless coordinator says help is on the way

As Anchorage sees some of the lowest temperatures of the season so far, dozens of people have no place to go to escape the cold at night.
“I wish people knew how bad it is down here in Anchorage right now,” said a homeless man who goes by the name Matthew Huckabee.
The Brother Francis Shelter, which has 240 beds, has been at full capacity since mid-September, and all 50 beds between the two overflow shelters are occupied.
