Walk and Roll for Hope: Supporting Alaskans with disabilities

This year, the Walk and Roll for Hope is celebrating it’s 48th anniversary. The event helps to support Alaskans with developmental and mental disabilities.
The event starts in May, but organizers are encouraging more participants sign up in April. Michael Wachsmuth, a development officer with Hope Community Resources, said the event gets a great turn out every year. However, due to a proposed dramatic drop in Medicaid and Medicare funding, she said the event could use extra support. T
