Upcoming conference emphasizes Native education in Alaska

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) – An upcoming cultural education conference will focus on Native students in Alaska.
CoastAlaska News reports the Our Cultural Landscape conference to be held in June will give educators a better understanding of their Native students.
The southeast Alaska Native nonprofit organization Sealaska Heritage Institute is putting on the event. The conference will feature speakers inside and outside Alaska with experience working with indigenous students and psychology.
