Two vehicles burned on the same Anchorage street overnight

The Anchorage Fire Department is investigating two vehicle fires that happened early Friday morning on the same South Anchorage street.
Fire Investigator Brian Dean said firefighters were called to a report of a chevy pick-up on fire in the 8500 block of Blackberry St., just west of Dimond High School at around 3:45 a.m.
A short time later they responded to another fire, just two blocks away on the same street.
Dean said the fires were likely set on purpose and are being investigated as ars
