Troopers: Man’s body recovered from fire-destroyed Seward home

A man’s body was found after an early morning fire in Seward on Tuesday, according to Alaska State Troopers.
The fire was reported just after 4 a.m. at 12232 Merlin Dr., troopers wrote in an online dispatch. Crews from the Bear Creek Volunteer Fire Department and the Seward Fire Department responded.
Someone reported the home was occupied at the time of the fire, Around 5 a.m., “human remains were discovered inside the completely destroyed residence,” troopers wrote.
