Teaching commission proposes change in ethics code to protect Alaska’s transgender students
The commission in charge of regulating professional teaching practices in Alaska has proposed adding additional language to its Code of Ethics to protect transgender students from discrimination. A new clause would add “gender identification” to the “protected classes of colleagues” part of the code.
